The Board Diagnostic | Madurez AI

The Madurez AI Board Diagnostic

Your assessment tells you where you are...

This Board Diagnostic tells you what to do about it.

The free assessment gives your leadership team a       structured picture of where you stand.

The Board Diagnostic goes deeper — into the specifics of your organisation, your sector, your leadership team, and your data reality — and produces a board-ready roadmap with clear priorities, owners, and sequenced next steps.

Independent - Fixed Fee - Delivered by Dr. Jullian Shawcross

What's included?

Firm-Level Intake - Structured onboarding — written questionnaire and kick-off call establishing your context, priorities, and existing AI activity.

Individual SLT Interviews - 45–60 minutes with each SLT member, conducted independently. Leadership teams are rarely as aligned as they assume — the         divergences are where the insights live.

Document Review - Assessment of existing AI policies, data documentation, governance frameworks, and prior project outcomes. I assess what exists, not just what is claimed.

Facilitated SLT Session - A half-day working session structured around my findings, designed to build shared ownership of the roadmap. Not a presentation — a working session.

The Board-Ready Report - Current state across all six pillars, gap analysis, risk flags, quick wins versus        strategic initiatives, and a prioritised roadmap. Written for board consumption.

30-Day Follow-Up - A structured check-in one month after delivery — to review progress and have an honest conversation about next steps. No obligation. No sales pressure.

How it works

Week 1 - Kick-off & Intake Questionnaire, intro call,   document request, SLT schedule confirmed.

Week 2–3 - SLT Interviews Individual 45–60 min          sessions. Confidential. Independent.

Week 4 - Facilitated Session Half-day working session. Findings presented. Priorities built collectively.

Week 5–6 - Report & Delivery Board Diagnostic written and formally presented. Q&A; included.

Day 30+  Follow-Up Progress review. Honest               conversation about next steps. No obligation.

Investment

Fixed fee from £5,000 All-inclusive.

No day rates. No surprises.

Fee scales by leadership team numbers and                    organisational complexity.

Day rates incentivise longer engagements, fixed fees don't.

Why work with me?

This is not for every organisation - if you fall into one or more of these descriptions, this is not for you.

  • AI conversations driven by a mid-level manager with no board mandate.
  • Firms wanting a report to tick a box with no intent to act on the findings.
  • Anyone expecting a vendor or platform                         recommendation — I have none.
  • Organisations looking for the cheapest option.
  • Those who need implementation - I am the architect, not the builder.

Independent

No vendor relationships.

No platform to sell.

No implementation revenue.

My advice serves only you.

Sector-specific

30 years inside regulated    financial services.

Strategic, and governance   literacy of regulatory fluency cannot be acquired quickly.

Academic rigor

My six-pillar methodology is grounded in doctoral            research — not opinion dressed as a framework.

Board-level

I work at SLT and board level.

Not with an IT team.

Not through a procurement process.

What do the alternatives to Madurez AI look like?

Four types of AI advisory operate in the market. Madurez AI holds a unique positioning that none of them can compete with.

So let's have a quick look at what they offer — and what they fail to do.

Big Four & Strategy Consultancies

Often expensive, generic, and the partner sells while juniors deliver.

Strong brand, weak sector depth in regulated markets.

Clients pay for the name, not the expertise.

Technology Vendors

Selling a platform.

Every recommendation serves the sale.

Advice is the wrapper around the product, not the product itself.

Conflicted by design.

Generalist AI Consultants

No sector depth.

Little to no strategic or regulatory literacy.

No lived experience of regulated professional/financial          services governance.

Framework-led with no practitioner grounding.
